If you don't mind What you want is netatalk. There are two parts to this. First, you need to build a custom FreeBSD kernel that has the line options NETATALK in the config file. See the FreeBSD handbook for information on building and installing new kernels. Then you need to install the "netatalk" port from the ports collection. This includes appletalk file and print server software. You can also print from FreeBSD to appletalk printers using it. -john From owner-freebsd-www Wed Oct 22 02:11:55 1997 Return-Path: Received: (from root@localhost) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.7/8.8.7) id CAA18489 for www-outgoing; Wed, 22 Oct 1997 02:11:55 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from owner-freebsd-www) Received: from hermes.hrz.uni-bielefeld.de (hermes.hrz.uni-bielefeld.de [129.70.4.55]) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.7/8.8.7) with ESMTP id CAA18475 for ; Wed, 22 Oct 1997 02:11:50 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from lkoeller@hrz.Uni-Bielefeld.DE) Received: from mitch (mitch.hrz.uni-bielefeld.de) by hermes.hrz.uni-bielefeld.de with SMTP (1.37.109.17/16.2) id AA263741626; Wed, 22 Oct 1997 11:13:46 +0200 Message-Id: <344DC32A.5E8E@hrz.uni-bielefeld.de> Date: Wed, 22 Oct 1997 11:11:06 +0200 From: Lars Koeller Organization: Universitaet Bielefeld X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.01Gold (X11; I; HP-UX B.10.20 9000/780) Mime-Version: 1.0 To: www@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Commercial Backup System!
