Comparing FreeBSD and Linux is not a techical, it's mostly religious thing ;-) For making this letter not an offtopic - does anyone using PVM for the real clusters under FreeBSD in production, not just in academical "tune-and-forget" systems? And what applications running on it and how stable it seems? -- Alexander A. Radunsky AR8-RIPN AAR2-RIPE Zenon N.S.P. I am hoping to setup a two node cluster with Polyserve's Understudy. Look's like a good product and can't wait to take it for a spin. Lucky me I got stock with handling email at our company so I pushed for FreeBSD. I am planning to set the cluster for SMTP. Since the current version of Understudy doesn't mirror data SMTP is ideal for this since no data needs to be shared. Any other clustering software for FreeBSD? francisco Moderator of the Corporate BSD list http://www.egroups.com/group/BSD_Corporate To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-cluster" in the body of the message
