Perhaps you could have a choice on the search form (at http://www.freebsd.org/search/search.html#mailinglists) when searching the freebsd-questions mailing list that allowed users to exclude results for the search that didn't have answers. eg, if someone mails saying "what's better, unix or windows", and noone on the freebsd-questions mailing list answers it, it would be cool if I didn't have to read through the question before finding out that noone's answered it. I just say this because I'm searching for something now, and most of the questions to the list don't appear to have any answers. I think the framework is useful, but we're not sure what to put in the framework! :-) You might look over the www.freebsd.org site and see if there is something in there that would fit well with this organization... I suggested the gallery, but since this is your software you're more familiar with it's capabilities. Have you thought about programming a ODP interface for your directory? It would be cool to have an ODP subtree for FreeBSD that this plugs into. (See www.dmoz.org for DOP info.) Since I don't see any other koshy's about, I guess I'll pipe up. [http://www.extree.com/] A: It seems to be hosted offsite though as a (currently) free service. B: Should we have something like this onsite? Well, we have a poor-man's directory in the form of a site map at the moment. This is manually maintained and is probably lagging the actual web site. A way to automate creation of a better directory from our SGML sources would be nice, but needs thought. Doing it manually would be a pain. I've other stuff on my plate right now (both FreeBSD- and Real-Life- related), so in answer to Jordan: sorry, I can't take it up at this point.
