There's really no need to ask, as if ``sql servers'' were something that women are or should be afraid of. > ok i will narrow the specification a bit, which of you ever > encountered a woman that knows the difference between giving her your > phone number or giving her a ip address ? Yes. I also dislike questions like these immensely. You may have not meant it to sound like this, but questions like the ones above _are_ sexist; they contain, consciously or not, the hypothesis that somehow -- for whatever reason -- IP addresses, SQL servers, mail servers, routers and any other IT related topic is easier to grasp when you're a man. This night (at least in GMT time) will be the most special day ever for Unix and Linux users: it will be EXACTLY 1111111111 seconds since january 1, 1970; I think we should all have a nice little Unix party then :D If you want to check this yourself, just type 'date +%s' in your console and you'll see. Tell everyone you know about it!! Malavon ps. the story should be on slashdot.org too, assuming it gets through pps. I'm not not on this list myself, so if someone should reply, please put me in CC. People are social creatures. If you think you disagree or you don't understand what I mean, perhaps, you need to grow up. This book is not about dating, but it explains relationship between computers and people. "The Inmates Are Running The Asylum" by Alan Cooper. He claims to be user interface usability expert. You don't have to read the entire book. Just read the first 25% of it. And don't event think that geek is synonimum to smart. The first mistake geeks make is ignoring the social aspect of life. The people skills are as important as technical skills to get things done. You don't have to have perfect people skills, just don't ignore this aspect.
