It came up with a "FreeBSD/Open Firmware/PowerPC bootstrap loader" which it said it was loading /boot/defaults/loader.conf. The little thing spun and freezes. It seems to stay frozen for about 5 minutes then I start getting messages like this: "ofwd_open: Could not open cd:0" and It will keep saying that. If I take the disc out, it immediately fails and says "Unable to load kernel!!!" or something along those lines. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find anything on this. Thanks so much for any help anyone can offer. I figured out that the drive was dirty. It was dirty. Now the only issue I have is that i can't get fdisk to show up to partition the drive. My friend pointed out that it's a known issue. I aparently have three partitions already on the drive and I need to get rid of them so I can partition it correctly. I might not even be using the right terms. If you are willing to wipe whatever is on the disk, you can still get this to work, albeit a little klunky. Select the ad0s2 partition. Use 'C' to create a filesystem, with the path of '/'. Then 'Q' to finish. You haven't created a swap paritition, and you will receive a warning, but that is OK. Then, complete a FreeBSD install like you normally would. However, to boot, you must leave the install CD in the drive, break into OpenFirmware, and: 0 > boot cd:0,\boot\loader hd:2 later, Peter.
