I've tried everything I can think of, but still can't get this working. FreeBSD seems to run fine on my desktop, and seems to suspend properly (all fans and drives spin down). I'm running into an issue when resuming from S3 sleep. The screen never comes back (it stays black), and only on occasion can I still make an ssh connection. I've tried messing around with ACPI settings in the bios (enabling/disabling in various combinations), along with the following. I've all of these on FreeBSD 8.2-Release, compiled and upgraded to 8.2-STABLE, and also on 9.0-RC3. - Loaded acpi_video.ko, radeon.ko (I have an ATI Radeon 4350 installed) - Tried hw.acpi.osname set to "Windows 2001", "Windows 2006", etc. - Set these individually and together: hw.acpi.reset_video=1 hw.syscons.sc_no_suspend_vtswitch=1 Any help would be great guys! Thanks in advance, Andrew dmesg output from the following commands: # sysctl debug.bootverbose=1 # sysctl debug.acpi.suspend_bounce=1 # acpiconf -s 3 Here >> http://pastebin.com/6yxHyrm6 9.0-RC3 Dmesg: http://pastebin.com/Mg4XLiE6 Copyright (c) 1992-2011 The FreeBSD Project.
