This is a great advance for the upstream OpenOffice as it means that it will start using modern STL functionality by default. In general OpenOffice now uses TR1 functionality from Boost to replace what libstdc++ may not have. Unfortunately this will not work in FreeBSD 9.x due to a bug in boost. In order to update OpenOffice further it is necessary (but probably not sufficient) to either update boost to version 1.55 (best) or apply ports/181044. I know there have been complains about the maintenance (or lack of it) in the openoffice ports but there are limits on to what Maho and I can do. It would also be great if someone works on adding staging to the OpenOffice ports. Best regards, Pedro. IMHO ... office@ may not be the best maintainer for this port: it is obviously used by many other ports different from the office suites. At some point we should probably just commit the update and have the dependent port maintainers figure out the issues on their ports. I am getting a "General Error" when I try to save a new file, Save As or open an existing file. It seams each task completes correctly but the behavior very annoying. All ports were built and installed with default configs. My X server is a thin client using xdmcp and so I am only using the X clients from my FreeBSD machine. After lots of testing I found if I remove the installed port rasqal-0.9.31 and install the package via pkg_add -r rasqal which installs rasqal-0.9.30 the problem goes away. Any ideas why my ports using rasqal-0.9.31 cause this problem. I do wish to install everything out of my ports tree so I would really like a resolution to this. -- Daryl Sayers Direct: +612 95525510 Bing Technologies Office: +612 95525500 Jones Bay Wharf Fax: +612 95525549 Suite 54, 26-32 Pirrama Rd email: daryl@ci.com.au Pyrmont NSW 2009 Australia www: http://www.ci.com.au From owner-freebsd-office@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Jan 30 04:45:08 2014 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-office@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [8.8.178.115]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C7E28359 for ; Thu, 30 Jan 2014 04:45:08 +0000 (UTC) Received: from alogt.com (alogt.com [69.36.191.58]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 9FE6E10CD for ; Thu, 30 Jan 2014 04:45:08 +0000 (UTC) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=alogt.com; s=default; h=Content-Transfer-Encoding:Content-Type:MIME-Version:References:In-Reply-To:Message-ID:Subject:Cc:To:From:Date; bh=NkeCFaFu3yOmy4AeYqHx7tDkmcB4iMApFjr0/NerhnY=; b=xUqHYOa7+OYULwV1qvxU9Aa7cjB7OkeTVSuLbJCSiMege3HOFJ3lnQTl1uvODzUxlC6M7mmf6VXqSPoMUZcODF3D+cEecWmASgLq31iutshUA/BAtZUFD7ezJ5HCPFx4e3MtbflP5nGRZuZKAOfhhK7lTZ0j5kH8mbEUEAR8wXw=; Received: from [39.200.40.79] (port=63758 helo=X220.alogt.com) by sl-508-2.slc.westdc.net with esmtpsa (SSLv3:DHE-RSA-AES128-SHA:128) (Exim 4.82) (envelope-from ) id 1W8jUq-003siV-Cc; Wed, 29 Jan 2014 21:45:01 -0700 Date: Thu, 30 Jan 2014 12:44:53 +0800 From: Erich Dollansky To: daryl@ci.com.au Subject: Re: Libreoffice General Error Message-ID: <20140130124453.2cb0651c@X220.alogt.com> In-Reply-To: <201401300419.s0U4J1KS008883@sphinx.ci.com.au> References: <201401300419.s0U4J1KS008883@sphinx.ci.com.au> Organization: ALO Green Technologies X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.9.3 (GTK+ 2.24.22; amd64-portbld-freebsd10.0) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - sl-508-2.slc.westdc.net X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - freebsd.org X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [47 12] / [47 12] X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain - alogt.com X-Get-Message-Sender-Via: sl-508-2.slc.westdc.net: authenticated_id: erich@alogt.com X-Source: X-Source-Args: X-Source-Dir: Cc: freebsd-office@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: freebsd-office@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.17 Precedence: list List-Id: Office applications on FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 30 Jan 2014 04:45:08 -0000 Hi, On Thu, 30 Jan 2014 15:19:01 +1100 (EST) Daryl Sayers wrote: > > I am having trouble with libreoffice when I build from a clean ports > tree. I first built ports tree with revision 335076 (2013-11-28) and had the problem so I built a brand new FreeBSD 9.2 machine and svn'ed a clean ports tree last week (rev 340875).
