BUT: even if turn on all the debug levels on isdnd, it won't even print one single line if do an ifconfig isp1 up / down etc. oh, i have all the entry sections in my isdnd.rc file, only differing in usrdeviceunit and tel. number. and i do all the spppcontrol stuff. and i just dont know what i can do now. does anybody know this problem or do you need mor detailed info on my config files: system is FreeBSD-4.1.1 Stable, isdnd says its 0.90.1 thanks in advance! bye, Klaus -- "Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today, because if you enjoy it today you can do it again tomorrow." I might be stupid, but I can't get rid of this message. The only thin I want is to make the isdn adapter drop the line after 5 minutes, so I set idletime to 300 sec. I don't think I quite understand what earluhangup realy do. Here in Norway we get charged in real time, should I then set the unitlength to 1 sec.? What are you folks using as idletime and earlyhangup? Do I have to use a rate file? I realy don't have to log what every session is costing me :) Regards Eirik To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-isdn Sat Oct 7 0:27:49 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from worker.thw-IP.NET (worker.thw-IP.NET [192.76.134.35]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DF09337B66C for ; Sat, 7 Oct 2000 00:27:46 -0700 (PDT) Received: from localhost (2354 bytes) by worker.thw-IP.NET via rmail with P:stdio/R:inet_mx_hosts/T:inet_zone_smtp (sender: ) (ident using unix) id for ; Sat, 7 Oct 2000 09:27:45 +0200 (CEST) (Smail-3.2.0.111 2000-Feb-17 #17 built 2000-Sep-3) Received: from bert.kts.org (bert.kts.org [194.55.156.2]) by ernie.kts.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9971352A47; Sat, 7 Oct 2000 09:23:23 +0200 (CEST) Received: by bert.kts.org (Postfix, from userid 100) id E17769B20; Sat, 7 Oct 2000 09:23:22 +0200 (CEST) Subject: Re: Asuscom p-in-100-st-d In-Reply-To: from Iain M Weir at "Oct 6, 2000 10:20:43 pm" To: email@iainweir.co.uk (Iain M Weir) Date: Sat, 7 Oct 2000 09:23:22 +0200 (CEST) Cc: freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Organization: Kitchen Table Systems Reply-To: hm@kts.org X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4ME+ PL43 (25)] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Length: 1400 Message-Id: <20001007072322.E17769B20@bert.kts.org> From: hm@kts.org (Hellmuth Michaelis) Sender: owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Iain M Weir wrote: > I am having trouble getting this card recognised. > Using FreeBSD 4.1-R with i4b-00.95.00. > > At boot I get: > Oct 6 22:42:44 zev /kernel: pci0: (vendor=0x0675, > dev=0x1702) at 9.0 irq 12 > > From my kernel config: > > device iwic0 Are you shure this is a Winbond-chip based card ? I installed i4b 00.95.00-beta on a FreeBSD-STABLE 4.1.1 but I had the same identical problem with i4b 00.90.29-dev and FreeBSD-RELEASE 4.0 The isdn card is a AVM Fritz!Card isa pnp. I use userland ppp with both B channels and autoload problem: often, when under heavy activity, the isdn connection freezes. as you see in the following logs, it seems that the NT doesn't answer the disc command but, after a reboot of FreeBSD, every thing is OK again. That makes me think it not the NT misbehaving nor something wrong with the cable connection Any hints? from /var/log/messages: ---------------------------- Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ifpnp0: at port 0x200-0x21f irq 9 on isa0 Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ifpnp0: AVM Fritz!Card PnP Class 0x9 Revision 1 Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ifpnp0: ISAC 2085 Version A1/A2 or 2086/2186 Version 1.1 (IOM-2) Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ifpnp0: passive stack unit 0 Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4btel: 4 ISDN telephony interface device(s) attached Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4brbch: 4 raw B channel access device(s) attached Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4bipr: 4 IP over raw HDLC ISDN device(s) attached (VJ header compression) Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4bctl: ISDN system control port attached Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4btrc: 4 ISDN trace device(s) attached Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: i4b: ISDN call control device attached Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ata0-master: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 compliant cable Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: ad0: 9770MB [19852/16/63] at ata0-master using UDMA33 Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: acd0: CDROM at ata0-slave using PIO4 Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny /kernel: Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s1a Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny named[101]: starting. named 8.2.3-T5B Sun Oct 1 16:02:27 CEST 2000 root@sunny.noonlights.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/usr.sbin/named Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny named[101]: limit files set to fdlimit (1024) Oct 3 19:42:11 sunny named[102]: Ready to answer queries.
