I cannot seem to get access to my floppy drive under WinNT emulation. Absolutely everything else works as expected (sound, cd-rom, mouse, video, etc.) ... but I keep getting a "device not ready" error when I try to access the floppy drive. There are no errors on startup, and everything seems to be set as per whatever README's I could find. Here's my nt4.cfg... hopefully someone will see what I am missing. Do I need to indicate that the floppy drive does in fact work when accessed via console login? ;-) ... When it is set, NT "see's" the drive, but cannot access it. ... The "error" from NT is: A:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Of course ... the floppy drive never even lights up. ... The only VMWare I have access to right now is RedHat 7.1 running Windows 2000 SP2. If i I set my floppy to "file" instead of "device" VMWare refuses to connect the device; but, set to "device" it works fine.
