After ppp had been killed in this way, I dialed in again through ppp, and got a number of i4b errors, (although the connection did open successfully) of which there is a dump below. Then the ppp connection died about 30 minutes after it was restarted. It was still open according to ppp -> show physical, but I could not ping my ISP. When I reconnected right after, I did not see any error messages. Could someone please explain (if possible) what the cause of these errors may be, and any advice as to how the problem might be fixed? P.S. Is that the best way to terminate your ppp connection at a certain time? P.P.S. I hope this question hasn't been asked before; I did do a search on the list archives though, and found nothing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 i4b-L2 i4b_rxd_ack: ((N(R)-1)=127) != (UA=0) !!! i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr = 0 i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr(0) != vs(1) i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: ERROR, l2sc->vs = 0, l2sc->ua_num = -1 i4b-L2 i4b_i_frame_queued_up: ERROR, mbuf NULL after IF_DEQUEUE i4b-L3 T303_timeout: SETUP not answered, cr = 53 Oct 22 08:06:39 noya /kernel: i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 Oct 22 08:06:39 noya /kernel: i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_rxd_ack: ((N(R)-1)=127) != (UA=0) !!! About the errors: The connection only died once after killing ppp, and I am connected (and have been for a few hours) at this very moment without having rebooted or restarted any daemons since the original post. The connection seems to be working fine and I'm getting good data rates, but these error messages still bother me, so any help would be appreciated. > --------------------------------------------------------------------------- > i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 > i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 > i4b-L2 i4b_rxd_ack: ((N(R)-1)=127) != (UA=0) !!! > i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr = 0 > i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr(0) != vs(1) > i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: ERROR, l2sc->vs = 0, l2sc->ua_num = -1 > i4b-L2 i4b_i_frame_queued_up: ERROR, mbuf NULL after IF_DEQUEUE > i4b-L3 T303_timeout: SETUP not answered, cr = 53 > Oct 22 08:06:39 noya /kernel: i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 > Oct 22 08:06:39 noya /kernel: i4b-L1 iwic_dchan_xirq: XCOL in state F7 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_T200_timeout: unit 0, RC = 0 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_rxd_ack: ((N(R)-1)=127) != > (UA=0) !!! > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_rxd_ack: ((N(R)-1)=127) != > (UA=0) !!! > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr = 0 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr = 0 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr(0) != > vs(1) > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: nr(0) != > vs(1) > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: ERROR, > l2sc->vs > = 0, l2sc->ua_num = -1 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_i_frame_queued_up: ERROR, mbuf > NULL aft > er IF_DEQUEUE > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_invoke_retransmission: ERROR, > l2sc->vs > = 0, l2sc->ua_num = -1 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_i_frame_queued_up: ERROR, mbuf > NULL aft > er IF_DEQUEUE > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L2 i4b_i_frame_queued_up: ERROR, mbuf > NULL aft > er IF_DEQUEUE > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L3 T303_timeout: SETUP not answered, > cr = 53 > Oct 22 08:06:40 noya /kernel: i4b-L3 T303_timeout: SETUP not answered, > cr = 53 > > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-isdn Tue Oct 23 16:43: 9 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from imo-m01.mx.aol.com (imo-m01.mx.aol.com [64.12.136.4]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CDF5437B401 for ; Tue, 23 Oct 2001 16:43:07 -0700 (PDT) Received: from ALBERTASTARK@aol.com by imo-m01.mx.aol.com (mail_out_v31_r1.8.) id n.11f.6186b92 (16931) for ; Tue, 23 Oct 2001 19:42:57 -0400 (EDT) From: ALBERTASTARK@aol.com Message-ID: <11f.6186b92.29075a80@aol.com> Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2001 19:42:56 EDT Subject: answering machine To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 7.0 for Windows US sub 118 Sender: owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Is there a answering machine to setup while I am on line?
