It doesn't always seem to leave a crashdump, sometimes it just seems to spew ACPI errors instead. I did finally get it tp dump, and I've attached a backtrace from that, as well as a dmesg. This is on a Sony Vaio FX-200 running -CURRENT from last night. The card is a Belkin Wireless Notebook Network Card F506020 ver. 2. I have also set hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1 in loader.conf, if that is relevant. That TX implementation has changed. I hope to make more progress this weekend. I just ordered it as a private person, did not have any problems. I think Dell is the option to consider. BTW, I dropped it twice, the only consequence was that after the first fall coolers fell asleep for a couple of days, but then returned to regular operation by themselves. I chose an Inspiron for my wife a year ago and found Dell website that time quite helpful. She dropped it several times since then, the worst one was when it slipped out from her backpack (the zipper spontaneously unfastened while she was walking), no consequences at all. One day the LCD on my Latitude decided that it is of 1600x1200 resolution (instead of 1400x1050 it used to be). It was replaced by Dell technician on the next day. I found the second media bay very useful when decided to add the second HDD. I posted this a couple of weeks ago already, but I'm still unable to solve the problem. My ethernet card still isn't being recognized (see subject for error message). I understand that there is a memory confilct. My problem is, that I don't know what could cause the conflict. As suggested by Warner, I've looked through the dmesg output for devices on the same bus, here is the result: isa0: on isab0 orm0:
