These represent problem reports covering all versions including experimental development code and obsolete releases. Bugs can be in one of several states: o - open A problem report has been submitted, no sanity checking performed. a - analyzed The problem is understood and a solution is being sought. f - feedback Further work requires additional information from the originator or the community - possibly confirmation of the effectiveness of a proposed solution. p - patched A patch has been committed, but some issues (MFC and / or confirmation from originator) are still open. s - suspended The problem is not being worked on, due to lack of information or resources. This is a prime candidate for somebody who is looking for a project to do. If the problem cannot be solved at all, it will be closed, rather than suspended. c - closed A problem report is closed when any changes have been integrated, documented, and tested -- or when fixing the problem is abandoned. Although this report is faked, problem reported here is quite different -- with ACPI_DEBUG but without DDB, produced acpi.ko has unresolved symbol: AcpiDmDumpMethodInfo. Some #ifdef's are probably missing. cognet@ suggested to let njl@ know about it. Thus, I'm putting him in CC. Once this bug is fixed, I'll close my PR. Thanks, -- Wojciech A. ACPI has a built-in debugger when ACPI_DEBUG is defined. You do need options DDB when compiling with it. What's in my patch for doc/share/mk/doc.docbook.mk: 1. Let Jade/OpenJade find all PNG images("SGMLFLAGS+= -D ...") so that Jade/OpenJade can generate correct links to PNG images in RTF. This is a key premise to generate PNG embedded RTF. 2. Let the format "rtf.tar" retire. See comments of revision 1.115 on http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/doc/share/mk/doc.docbook.mk 3. Induct a new tool "fixrtf" from the port chinese/docproj, setting its parameters. 4. Rename RTF directly generated by Jade/OpenJade as ${DOC}.rtf-nopng. Add ${DOC}.rtf-nopng into ${CLEANFILE}, execute "fixrtf" to convert no PNG embedded RTF generated by Jade/OpenJade (${DOC}.rtf-nopng) into PNG embedded RTF (${DOC}.rtf). Additional fixes: 1. A more precise expression than my previous ("GEN_INDEX_SGML_CMD?= ...") 2. The third pass of PDFJadeTeX for oriental languages probably returns with exit code 1, but the product is already somewhat acceptable. The new port chinese/docproj contains two small tools. Since "fixrtf" is useful for all languages, it can be considered as a routine dependency of textproc/docproj. 1."fixrtf" 1) Embed PNGs into RTF. (Option: -p) 2) Embed FreeBSD-specific information into RTF, such as organization name, building time. But unfortunately, so far only Microsoft Word can read them. In contrast, Microsoft Word Viewer and OpenOffice even cannot read this kind of information from RTF created by Microsoft Word and OpenOffice. (Option: -i) 3) Do some locale-specific fixing. (Option: -e ) 2."cjktexsty" This tool is used for those languages that TeX cannot support natively. It converts TeX source generated by Jade/OpenJade into what CJK-LaTeX can process. CJK-LaTeX and this tool support UTF-8, which means in a sense they are fit for all languages, NOT ONLY Chinese/Japanese/Korean. In addition, to make CJK PostScript/PDF and plain text, the port CJK-LaTeX (chinese/CJK) and HTML2TEXT (textproc/html2text) are required. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: --- Makefile.orig Sun Jan 1 16:10:22 2006 +++ Makefile Wed Mar 1 08:19:58 2006 @@ -7,7 +7,7 @@ PORTNAME= docproj PORTVERSION= 1.14 -PORTREVISION= 1 +PORTREVISION= 2 CATEGORIES= textproc MASTER_SITES= # empty DISTFILES= # empty @@ -32,7 +32,8 @@ ${LOCALBASE}/share/sgml/iso8879:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/iso8879 \ ${LOCALBASE}/share/xml/dtd/xhtml/xhtml.soc:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/xhtml \ ${LOCALBASE}/share/xsl/docbook/html/docbook.xsl:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/docbook-xsl \ - ${LOCALBASE}/share/xml/docbook/4.2/docbookx.dtd:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/docbook-xml + ${LOCALBASE}/share/xml/docbook/4.2/docbookx.dtd:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/docbook-xml \ + ${LOCALBASE}/bin/fixrtf:${PORTSDIR}/chinese/docproj .include @@ -53,6 +54,15 @@ .if defined(WITH_JADETEX) && ${WITH_JADETEX} == yes RUN_DEPENDS+= ${LOCALBASE}/share/texmf/web2c/jadetex.fmt:${PORTSDIR}/print/jadetex RUN_DEPENDS+= dvips:${PORTSDIR}/print/dvipsk-tetex + +.if empty(WITH_JADETEX_CJK) +IS_INTERACTIVE= "user must set WITH_JADETEX_CJK variable to 'yes' or 'no'" +.endif +.if defined(WITH_JADETEX_CJK) && ${WITH_JADETEX_CJK} == yes +RUN_DEPENDS+= gbklatex:${PORTSDIR}/chinese/CJK +RUN_DEPENDS+= html2text:${PORTSDIR}/textproc/html2text +.endif + .endif .if ${PERL_LEVEL} < 500804 >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Mar 1 06:18:21 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5596416A420; Wed, 1 Mar 2006 06:18:21 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from delphij@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 34C5543D6B; Wed, 1 Mar 2006 06:18:19 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from delphij@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (delphij@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id k216IJ9Y027634; Wed, 1 Mar 2006 06:18:19 GMT (envelope-from delphij@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from delphij@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id k216IJ7Q027630; Wed, 1 Mar 2006 06:18:19 GMT (envelope-from delphij) Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 06:18:19 GMT From: Xin LI Message-Id: <200603010618.k216IJ7Q027630@freefall.freebsd.org> To: delphij@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org, doceng@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/93966: Better RTF support & CJK TeX support of the port textproc/docproj X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 01 Mar 2006 06:18:21 -0000 Synopsis: Better RTF support & CJK TeX support of the port textproc/docproj Class-Changed-From-To: update->change-request Class-Changed-By: delphij Class-Changed-When: Wed Mar 1 06:16:02 UTC 2006 Class-Changed-Why: This is a change request, not an "update".
