Both machines also run Jboss (now in different versions), because on the 5.4 machine, JBoss does not build since 4.0.2 - on 6.0 it works. I do suspect, it's got nothing todo with the FreeBSD versions, but more with something else, I do not see. Both machines only have this single jdk installed - nothing else. I've uploaded the typescript log of a build session that fails, maybe someone can have a look and point me into the right direction? I noticed that one the failing machine, the port axis-1.2.2 was installed while on the other it wasn't. After removal of the port, the compile went through. JBoss seems to ship an own version of Axis which was behind the port's version in the classpath probably. So, I wonder if java/jboss4 should list axis-* as CONFLICTS? After update ports tree, the jdk15 updated to jdk-1.5.0p2_3 and firefox updated to 1.5. I can not build it with firefox, since jdk-1.5.0p2_2 can do this, Then I install mozilla-1.7.12_5,2 and rebuild jdk15 with mozilla, it is OK. I think the jdk15 port needs some change to meet firefox-1.5. /Lihong --=-0MLRrMrTP+K9s2XpeQI2 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBDzuapymyXoUCp/cURAprUAJ9UcgY9GyNSDwDKVxSt6Ha0LzgkDACePRd8 vVPCpb/x/i6wRk3QoEefRoo= =qVcA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-0MLRrMrTP+K9s2XpeQI2-- From owner-freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Jan 19 03:08:46 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: java@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BCB2916A41F for ; Thu, 19 Jan 2006 03:08:46 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from mail.droso.net (koala.droso.net [193.88.12.38]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4716443D48 for ; Thu, 19 Jan 2006 03:08:46 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.droso.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id AE41F22B27 for ; Thu, 19 Jan 2006 04:08:43 +0100 (CET) Received: from koala.ipv6.droso.net (localhost [IPv6:::1]) by mail.droso.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id E826722AFA for ; Thu, 19 Jan 2006 04:08:37 +0100 (CET) From: linimon@FreeBSD.org To: java@freebsd.org Message-Id: <20060119030837.E826722AFA@mail.droso.net> Date: Thu, 19 Jan 2006 04:08:37 +0100 (CET) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd 0.1 Cc: Subject: FreeBSD ports that you maintain which are currently marked forbidden X-BeenThere: freebsd-java@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting Java to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 19 Jan 2006 03:08:46 -0000 Dear FreeBSD port maintainer: As part of an ongoing effort to reduce the number of problems in the FreeBSD ports system, we are attempting to notify maintainers of ports that are marked as "forbidden" in their Makefiles. Often, these ports are so marked due to security concerns, such as known exploits. An overview of the port, including errors seen on the build farm, is included below. portname: java/linux-blackdown-jdk13 forbidden because: Vulnerabilities in the browser plugin build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=java&portname=linux-blackdown-jdk13 portname: java/linux-ibm-jdk13 forbidden because: Vulnerabilities in the browser plugin build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=java&portname=linux-ibm-jdk13 If this problem is one that you are already aware of, please accept our apologies and ignore this message. On the other hand, if you no longer wish to maintain this port (or ports), please reply with a message stating that, and accept our thanks for your efforts in the past. Thanks for your efforts to help improve FreeBSD. /Lihong --=-DuPHihzEqBRAfXd5HaK9 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBDz56LymyXoUCp/cURAnabAJ9UJ1sqJBssfOUTEU+/f5PITccKIgCfUSQ5 XMkSuhW/iO9AsCQ0E8w7RDM= =rOLL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-DuPHihzEqBRAfXd5HaK9-- From owner-freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jan 20 03:28:59 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-java@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-java@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 57BF216A438 for ; Fri, 20 Jan 2006 03:28:59 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from andrew@areilly.bpc-users.org) Received: from omta02ps.mx.bigpond.com (omta02ps.mx.bigpond.com [144.140.83.154]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BA16843D48 for ; Fri, 20 Jan 2006 03:28:57 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from andrew@areilly.bpc-users.org) Received: from areilly.bpc-users.org ([141.168.4.160]) by omta02ps.mx.bigpond.com with ESMTP id <20060120032856.EJNA3168.omta02ps.mx.bigpond.com@areilly.bpc-users.org> for ; Fri, 20 Jan 2006 03:28:56 +0000 Received: (qmail 37336 invoked by uid 501); 20 Jan 2006 03:28:57 -0000 Date: Fri, 20 Jan 2006 14:28:57 +1100 From: Andrew Reilly To: freebsd-java@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20060120032857.GA37316@gurney.reilly.home> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.4.2.1i Subject: Compiling jdk15 on amd64: how long? I'm patched and all, and the linux javac seems to be working ok, but I have two javac processes (one per core) at the top of my "top" list that have now consumed about 170 minutes. cvsupped ports tree yesterday, fetched bsd patch 2 today. Maybe I should bring the base system forward to 6.0-STABLE before trying this? Maybe I should start with jdk14? Any help or suggestions, or even confirmation that this has been done before would be greatly appreciated. If you have more than 1 cpu, you can add MAKE_ENV+=3DHOTSPOT_BUILD_JOBS=3D"n" in the ports Makefile, where n is the number of cpus you have. This will parallelize hotspot builds (the cpp parts) which is the most time consuming part of building a JDK. The `inflate_fast+0x17' bug also exists for eclipse + JDK1.5. I wonder if this could this be fixed by using the system zlib instead of the one shipped with the JDK.
