Issuing zzz or acpiconf -s 3 causes the system to reboot instead of sleep. I understand that suspend does not work on SMP systems, so I've built a UP kernel (with SMP kernel the system freezes). This does not seem to be a clean reboot, filesystems come up dirty. Hopefully this is all the relevant information. I decided to post everything via URL instead of inline in the email. Thus I built a UP kernel. However, issuing zzz or acpiconf -s 3 showed acpi0: device_suspend failed acpi_button0: wake_prep enable for \_SB_.SLPB (S3) Here are URLs to the information of the unit. ASL dump: http://bsd.ipv6.la/v3417au/HPCompaqPresarioV3417AU.asl sysctl hw.acpi: http://bsd.ipv6.la/v3417au/V3417AU.sysctl.txt Verbose dmesg: http://bsd.ipv6.la/v3417au/V3417AU.dmesg.txt Is there anything that I should do to make suspend work?
