This is the "boot only" CD=2C which I thought I might be able to use to ins= tall. I still don't know what it is for. 7.1beta2=2C same thing=2C except no buzzing sound (possibly because I didn't=2C like=2C reset the previous error?) This is an HP Integrity rx2600. One internal 73gig scsi hard drive. One external USB optical drive. Serial console. Linux works on it. (anyone know how to affordably get HP-UX and/or OpenVMS?= ) I updated some (all?) firmware. Could be it doesn't like booting off a USB CD?? The machine doesn't have an internal optical drive. Linux installed ok this way. I'll probably have an internal optical drive soon. Machine bought used/cheap on eBay. =20 =20 serial console output: 7.0: EFI version 1.10 [14.61] EFI64 Running on Intel(R) Itanium Processor Family EFI 1.10 IPF zx6000/rx2600/zx2000 1.22 [Thu Mar 11 14:22:35 2004] - HP Copyright (c) 2000-2002 Broadcom Corporation Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet EFI driver v3.0.7 Loading 'FPSWA'...
