I don't get the impression that the persons with access to the CSS files in question consider the rendering issues an actual problem. After all, most of the issues were known before the layout got changed. And those that agree that the rendering issues are a problem, don't necessarily agree with the changes in the workaround. For example it allows the page to scale with the browser width, which I consider a feature, while others consider it a bug. At the moment I would expect the diff to be either ignored from the beginning, or to be reverted without discussion later on: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-www/2005-December/003428.html Fabian --Sig_/uZAGFH.Vt33/Ed57ZRAHw9t Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAk0bawgACgkQBYqIVf93VJ3M7wCgoUvxCJvWmJCnIT3StYbQA6GN 1ccAn0L4TM6yUuCXhOY8NZcVHnLFkKhL =64CA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/uZAGFH.Vt33/Ed57ZRAHw9t-- From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Dec 29 18:59:44 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5975C1065670 for ; Wed, 29 Dec 2010 18:59:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dougb@FreeBSD.org) Received: from mail2.fluidhosting.com (mx23.fluidhosting.com [204.14.89.6]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D1BEF8FC13 for ; Wed, 29 Dec 2010 18:59:43 +0000 (UTC) Received: (qmail 28819 invoked by uid 399); 29 Dec 2010 18:59:41 -0000 Received: from localhost (HELO doug-optiplex.ka9q.net) (dougb@dougbarton.us@127.0.0.1) by localhost with ESMTPAM; 29 Dec 2010 18:59:41 -0000 X-Originating-IP: 127.0.0.1 X-Sender: dougb@dougbarton.us Message-ID: <4D1B851C.9020106@FreeBSD.org> Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2010 10:59:40 -0800 From: Doug Barton Organization: http://SupersetSolutions.com/ User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD amd64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101210 Thunderbird/3.1.7 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: Fabian Keil References: <4D1503E6.7050604@FreeBSD.org> <20101225114233.750421f0@r500.local> <4D192F19.304@FreeBSD.org> <20101229180821.3cd2f5bd@r500.local> In-Reply-To: <20101229180821.3cd2f5bd@r500.local> X-Enigmail-Version: 1.1.2 OpenPGP: id=1A1ABC84 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Home page font size problem X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2010 18:59:44 -0000 On 12/29/2010 09:08, Fabian Keil wrote: > Without consensus that the changes are an improvement, I don't think > coming up with a diff to the existing source is time well spend. Hmm, that is the only release version listed in notices.xml. It looks like I could probably axe all the special release handling for notices similar to what Simon did in 1.16 of libcommon.xsl. I've done that and updated the patch at the URL above. I am trying to implement the feature to set a random password like in BSD "pw usermod -W" in the Solaris passwd. Regrettably, I have not found or perhaps not understood the PAM API documentation on how to _inject a given string_ into the change-auth-token function pam_chauthtok(...), which always jumps in an interactive pw-changing loop. After I have generated a random string char * randstring, I have tried setting that string using retval =3D pam_set_item( pamh, PAM_AUTHTOK, randstring); =20 which returns PAM_SUCCESS. The password / authentication token remains unchanged, however. My second idea, i.e., using pam_sm_chauthtok(...), did not work, either, as I have not understood the arguments to be passed. Should anybody know how to inject a given/known string into PAM to set a user password, know where to look for documentation regarding that issue or have another idea, I would really appreciate it ... and again my apologies for being more than just slightly off topic.
