Just a quick update. I did hear back from a couple of people (thanks!) who are seeing possibly related problems. I dug into the actual build problems and came to a nasty conclusion: security/openssl and a full gnome build are incompatible because an earlier openssl is installed in the base. In particular, there are some ports that will not build with security/openssl and there are others that pull in libraries from both openssl installations and break. I suspect that the ultimate fix for this problem is to have only one openssl installation which at this time probably means the removal of security/openssl. I wiped out all ports (`pkg_delete -a`) and have started over. But this time I'm being careful to not install security/openssl. This means that I won't be able to use tor, but that's not a huge problem for me. It seems unnecessary to add MD2 functionality: nothing actually uses it. The link problem against /usr/lib/libhx509.so seems to be caused by dangling symbols from an incomplete excision of MD2 functionality from the base crypto lib. My patch completes that excision, and all of these problems seem to have gone away. Well, things build cleanly, and fetchmail (which had the same link failure) is running fine. We released new help package 2.6.0 for GIMP at October of the last year. I prepared new ports replacing graphics/gimp-help and posted PR 145650 and 145652. Until the version 2.4.2, we provided a source tree package consists of XML files, image files, and makefiles. So the current port (gimp-help-2.4.2_3) requires build tools around gnome-doc-utils. On the contrary, since this new release we don't release source package but distribute 13 ready-to-install HTML packages in several languages, I separete the port in languages so that each port simply extracts and installs the distributed package for language user selects. Whom I should contact to? These reports are assigned to nobody yet. I'm new to making such a big ports collection, so I fear something are wrong on my report. Actually I made already two mistakes which may discourage the maintainer for the port. Please tell me what should I do next. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3Dports/145650 http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3Dports/145652 -- the GIMP Documentation Team: http://docs.gimp.org/ SimaMoto,Ry=C5=8DTa From owner-freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 28 14:42:40 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: gnome@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7B3251065670 for ; Wed, 28 Apr 2010 14:42:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from mi@aldan.algebra.com) Received: from smtp02.lnh.mail.rcn.net (smtp02.lnh.mail.rcn.net [207.172.157.102]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2503B8FC0A for ; Wed, 28 Apr 2010 14:42:39 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mr08.lnh.mail.rcn.net ([207.172.157.28]) by smtp02.lnh.mail.rcn.net with ESMTP; 28 Apr 2010 10:42:39 -0400 Received: from smtp01.lnh.mail.rcn.net (smtp01.lnh.mail.rcn.net [207.172.4.11]) by mr08.lnh.mail.rcn.net (MOS 3.10.8-GA) with ESMTP id LOP89975; Wed, 28 Apr 2010 10:42:10 -0400 (EDT) Received: from 146-115-44-51.c3-0.sbo-ubr1.sbo.ma.cable.rcn.com (HELO ws-mteterin.dev.pathfinder.com) ([146.115.44.51]) by smtp01.lnh.mail.rcn.net with ESMTP; 28 Apr 2010 10:42:10 -0400 Message-ID: <4BD84942.2050107@aldan.algebra.com> Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2010 10:42:10 -0400 From: mi@aldan.algebra.com User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; uk; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 Lightning/1.0b1 Thunderbird/3.0.4 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: mezz@FreeBSD.org References: <201004280249.o3S2n18d032956@freefall.freebsd.org> In-Reply-To: <201004280249.o3S2n18d032956@freefall.freebsd.org> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Junkmail-Status: score=10/50, host=mr08.lnh.mail.rcn.net X-Junkmail-SD-Raw: score=unknown, refid=str=0001.0A020206.4BD8495B.01DB,ss=1,fgs=0, ip=207.172.4.11, so=2009-09-21 22:56:10, dmn=5.4.3/2007-10-18, mode=single engine X-Junkmail-IWF: false X-Mailman-Approved-At: Wed, 28 Apr 2010 15:16:58 +0000 Cc: gnome@FreeBSD.org, gecko@freebsd.org Subject: Re: ports/144994: security/nss: the nss-config script is broken X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2010 14:42:40 -0000 27.04.2010 22:49, mezz@FreeBSD.org написав(ла): > Synopsis: security/nss: the nss-config script is broken > > State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback > State-Changed-By: mezz > State-Changed-When: Wed Apr 28 02:48:24 UTC 2010 > State-Changed-Why: > I am not really sure about it.
