I can run battle.net out of box with emulators/wine-devel on i386. I cannot run it on emulators/i386-wine-devel for amd64 without running =E2=80=9Cwine agent.exe =E2=80=93nohttpauth=E2=80=9D prior to launching battle.net. I have been working at this for a few weeks to see if I could solve. At first I thought this could be a problem with missing 32 bit libraries. So I built a 32 bit environment under /compat/i386. I the installed x11/xorg, emulators/wine-devel. I then launched those under the chroot environment, and it still fails to run without the agent.exe workaround. I'd like to try to help resolve this if I can but I think I may be running short of ideas to try. If anyone can suggest anything that might help narrow down the problem further please let me know. I've been working on that the last few days anyways as part of upgrading all things CentOS to 6.6, and it's landed in t= he portstree a few minutes ago. Please be mindful that=20 a) as far as I know Microsoft doesn't allow any client before 4.3, that would block net-im/skype and net-im/skype-devel. If you test, and find it works, can you let me know please? b) we're still lacking the syscalls required by Skype 4.3 in 11.0-CURRENT, although dchagin@ is making good progress. And fc-cache(1) explicitly notes that for every architecture a separate run is required. However, as x11-fonts/linux-*-fontconfig tries to use native fontconfig it completely ignores/predates architecture distinction in cache filenames. Steps to reproduce: 1. install www/linux-firefox (or any port using linux-*-fontconfig) 2. install x11-fonts/noto (or any port invoking fc-cache) 3. start linux-firefox then quit it 4. notice ~/.cache/fontconfig or ~/.fontconfig now has files with the same hash as /var/db/fontconfig but for different architecture Those directories may contain files: *-x86.cache-2 (linux-f10- i386) *-le32d4.cache-3 (linux-c6- i386) *-le64.cache-4 (native amd64) In some cases ~/.cache expansion may be broken and `fontconfig' directory would appear directly under $HOME. x11@ is CC'd in case multilib infra ever materializes and they (not gnome@) own Keywords/fc*ucl, so may help un-hardcode /compat/linux from the patch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. I had not seen this port and will install it and see how it does. I'm still concerned about USB and VB. Since it would not even boot with the control plugged in, I don't see how it could be specific to the Harmony. and I do use other USB devices now and then. Thanks again! -- R. Please try the attached patch, i.e., just replace patch-src-VBox-Devices-USB-freebsd-USBProxyDevice-freebsd.cpp in files directory with it, rebuild, and try again. Note this patch may still be incomplete. Currently linux-c6-alsa-plugins-oss and linux-c6-alsa-plugins-pulseaudio compete for the default output/mixer device. My guess the last one wins in the following scenario. # /compat/linux/etc/asound.conf @hooks [ { func load files [ "/etc/alsa/pcm/pcm-oss.conf" "/etc/alsa/pulse-default.conf" ] errors false } ] # /compat/linux/etc/alsa/pcm/pcm-oss.conf pcm.!default { type oss device /dev/dsp hint { description "Open Sound System" } } # /compat/linux/etc/alsa/pulse-default.conf pcm.!default { type pulse hint { description "Default" } } In short, by using linux-c6- a user would trade one bug for another. While harmless *with* the patch here applied better remove all no longer used /etc/alsa/*.conf to avoid confusion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
