The functionality exists, and wpa_cli(8) responds the "ping" requests./usr/src % wpa_cli ping Selected interface 'wlan0' PONGSame parameter/command is well documented in some wpa_cli ports found in several gnu/linux based OS'es. I acknowledge that wpa_cli -h | grep ping would yield the usage of ping argument, but I wonder why this is not included in the man page. If you follow the FTP link, you'll see that only 10.2-STABLE snapshots are available. Maybe it's better to just say "10-STABLE and 11-CURRENT" and have that text link to the higher-level directory: ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/arm/armv6/ISO-IMAGES/ From owner-freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Tue Sep 15 09:31:44 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 137F1A03F38 for ; Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:31:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 00CB91D4B for ; Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:31:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id t8F9VhLU002203 for ; Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:31:43 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 203119] rc.conf: missing autofs/automount and flags Date: Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:31:44 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: new X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Documentation X-Bugzilla-Component: Documentation X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: ohartman@zedat.fu-berlin.de X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Target-Milestone: --- X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: bug_id short_desc product version rep_platform op_sys bug_status bug_severity priority component assigned_to reporter Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:31:44 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=203119 Bug ID: 203119 Summary: rc.conf: missing autofs/automount and flags Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Documentation Assignee: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: ohartman@zedat.fu-berlin.de Trying to following instructions and options in rc.conf(5) on how to configure and utilise the automount facility, I found - nothing! Nothing on autofs, automount, automountd and autounmountd so far, as the keywords are already in etc/defaults/rc.conf. It is also confusing having "autofs" and "automount" - one wants to restart the automount facility has to issue service automount restart to ensure both the daemons of automountd and autounmountd have restarted in order - based upon "autofs_enable" I would consider service autofs restart which isn't. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
