At least the older ones like the T410 (which I'm using right now). Also, what exactly do you need to work? In my case, even the fingerprint scanner works fine. -- wbr, Maxim Filimonov From owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Jan 10 20:00:27 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher AECDH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id DD9F9F1D for ; Sat, 10 Jan 2015 20:00:26 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-ie0-x230.google.com (mail-ie0-x230.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4001:c03::230]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-RC4-SHA (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id A39A5C06 for ; Sat, 10 Jan 2015 20:00:26 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-ie0-f176.google.com with SMTP id tr6so20189622ieb.7 for ; Sat, 10 Jan 2015 12:00:26 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:in-reply-to:references:date:message-id:subject:from:to :cc:content-type; bh=T8UQvmHK8PzAgYw27G0TvXBTPgUFf0Ju+TRn2TJwpbU=; b=O24bg86MwWkoXpFNY5wUh7btIwUbzqnrcq/5VM4piGD59lh5/rUdlfCffgqyseI+XJ Seb6eUNzwOypXtevjMCwy5Tq0Kuio73bBHh9kHDxiuCdBCWLo0SHrIMWcpbdlnmbVFSd 7vS89q/doLb3d4a+mfUo4rZuL1cUNaKx4D1uDSMMX6NonK5fP9MIxQzTsRapFuELzwLQ r3zJsxpxhKfgZisag83xdQN0N8dEngPSViV2tSFWkfyvoMqQ125n2yBEhpqCVdN5sYyn WH+5LKlcXPvLBtQh3twtEVJaNrw0TRuoQ8n866wcJ8W+TaiHJpNU+7El3pH5ZbiywONP a6jg== MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Received: by 10.107.164.213 with SMTP id d82mr21165663ioj.75.1420920026052; Sat, 10 Jan 2015 12:00:26 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.43.56.206 with HTTP; Sat, 10 Jan 2015 12:00:26 -0800 (PST) In-Reply-To: <11278486.r83XoBq4C3@thinkpad> References: <11278486.r83XoBq4C3@thinkpad> Date: Sat, 10 Jan 2015 17:00:26 -0300 Message-ID: Subject: Re: FreeBSD 10 and Lenovo Laptops From: Thomas Elsgaard To: Maxim Filimonov Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.18-1 Cc: "freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org" X-BeenThere: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18-1 Precedence: list List-Id: General discussion of FreeBSD hardware List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 10 Jan 2015 20:00:27 -0000 On Sat, Jan 10, 2015 at 4:35 PM, Maxim Filimonov wrote: > On Saturday 10 January 2015 13:08:29 Thomas Elsgaard wrote: > > Dear list.. > > > > I was wondering if there is any Lenovo laptops where FreeBSD 10.1 with > > Gnome "just works" ? > > > > Any recommendations ? > > > > ThinkPads T-Series seem to "just work" on any major OS including FreeBSD. > At > least the older ones like the T410 (which I'm using right now). Isn't a keyboard a basic device which just works everywhere?); the TrackPoint works just fine, the system suspends and wakes up just fine. The wireless network is also fully functional out of the box. I am using the built-in Centrino adapter right now. -- wbr, Maxim Filimonov
