A = soft reboot back into Windows would have good sound. Only a hard, pull the power plug and plug it back in, seemed to reset whatever hardware state the system was in so that sound would work in Ubuntu. I replicated this multiple times. Never figured out what was wrong on the system but I haven't dual booted in= to Windows in over a year and FreeBSD runs fine. Maybe the hard reset may also= be a viable workaround in your case. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Tue Apr 5 07:22:54 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 05574B0304E for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 07:22:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id EA4BF1978 for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 07:22:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u357MrOx080867 for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 07:22:53 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 208540] JRE is not installing on 64 bit FreeBSD Date: Tue, 05 Apr 2016 07:22:54 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: new X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: misc X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.2-STABLE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: anand.prakash@vigyanlabs.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: bug_id short_desc product version rep_platform op_sys bug_status bug_severity priority component assigned_to reporter cc attachments.created Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Tue, 05 Apr 2016 11:03:53 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.21 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 05 Apr 2016 07:22:54 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D208540 Bug ID: 208540 Summary: JRE is not installing on 64 bit FreeBSD Product: Base System Version: 10.2-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: anand.prakash@vigyanlabs.com CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 168993 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D168993&action= =3Dedit Screen shot I have installed jre1.8.0_77 but I am getting error=20 java: error: no suitable JavaVMs found So I want how to install jre on 64bit FreeBSD ? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Tue Apr 5 21:00:53 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B45CBB04531 for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 21:00:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 8B9DF1D14 for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 21:00:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u35L0rbn049630 for ; Tue, 5 Apr 2016 21:00:53 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 207667] Reproducable kernel panics whilst scrubbing a zvol pool... Yes, taking a picture of a monitor is a fine last measure. A serial consol= e, real or emulated via, e.g., IPMI or AMT, is better, of course. The panic looks like a result of a well-known (among developers) and very h= ard to fix problem with interaction between GEOM and ZVOLs that arises from usi= ng ZFS pools on top of ZFS volumes. I can not offer you any fix although I ha= ve got some work-in-progress on this issue. I can suggest a work-around: create a FreeBSD VM using the volumes comprisi= ng the pool as the VM's disks and run the scrub within the VM. Besides zpool scrub commands like zpool reopen, zpool split, zpool online [= -e] can also trigger the same bug for pools on top of ZFS volumes. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Wed Apr 6 17:10:37 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E421DB06A77 for ; Wed, 6 Apr 2016 17:10:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id D51591FE2 for ; Wed, 6 Apr 2016 17:10:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u36HAbk0060342 for ; Wed, 6 Apr 2016 17:10:37 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 207667] Reproducable kernel panics whilst scrubbing a zvol pool... I'm not sure if I'll be able to provide kernel dumps because this only happens on workstations where I access sensi= tive information and also the dumps are large. In the past this panic could be easily triggered with just startx, but now it happens at random points that seem vaguely graphics related such as opening thunderbird, opening a new ta= b in chromium, or sometimes using virtualbox. The panics started with FreeBSD 1= 0, never happened on 9 and I suspect something about the binary blob just does= n't match up properly with 10. Does anyone have a reliable way of triggering t= his panic so I could build a clean system to reproduce it? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Thu Apr 7 15:40:44 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6724FB07815 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 15:40:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 3F9C415C8 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 15:40:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u37FehFg073919 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 15:40:44 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 207840] Driver ix-3.1.14 not work without 'options INET6' Date: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 15:40:43 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: misc X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.2-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: IntelNetworking X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: jeffrey.e.pieper@intel.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-net@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: cc Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 16:23:09 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.21 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 15:40:44 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D207840 Jeff Pieper changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |jeffrey.e.pieper@intel.com --- Comment #3 from Jeff Pieper --- Thanks for the report. In my case the trigger is closing a GL program and having killed an instanc= e of browser for allocating all memory and swap then hanging. Most backtraces contain "in rm_free_unused_clients () from /boot/modules/nvidia.ko", a vague hint this happens when something is remov= ed by the blob. The crash on startx was a separate (but maybe related) problem, which I have experienced, too. This patch seemed to mitigate it: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D195097 Now it seems to have gone on its own without any patches. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Thu Apr 7 22:20:21 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EEAC8B08C48 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 22:20:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id DF9901F18 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 22:20:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u37MKLTj092390 for ; Thu, 7 Apr 2016 22:20:21 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 208623] Add support for Holtec/Keep Out F85 USB gaming keyboard Date: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 22:20:22 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: new X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.3-BETA2 X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: aleksanderlothe@live.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: bug_id short_desc product version rep_platform op_sys bug_status bug_severity priority component assigned_to reporter cc Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 22:44:46 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.21 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 07 Apr 2016 22:20:22 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D208623 Bug ID: 208623 Summary: Add support for Holtec/Keep Out F85 USB gaming keyboard Product: Base System Version: 10.3-BETA2 Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: usb Assignee: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org Reporter: aleksanderlothe@live.com CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Running 10.3-RELEASE, but this also happens on 10.2, basically I need to add UQ_KBD_BOOTPROTO quirk to my keyboard to make it work. 208653 Summary: PCN driver will not handle all PC net pro cards Product: Base System Version: 10.3-BETA2 Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mats42@home.se CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Please update the PCN driver so that it will handle fibre adapters based on= the PCnet-pro chipset (IE allied telesis 270X) series cards. Currently the driver will detect the card but not initialize it properly. (there is working code in the Linux driver that might be useful for backpor= ting - im not skilled enough to determine that but I want to mention for inforamtion) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.=
