Unlike www/firefox-nightly it didn't suffer from patch churn as much but had less users and no Q/A at all to justify the maintenance cost. Both were abandoned in favor of firefighting regressions upstream. If you're interested in features from an unreleased Firefox version consider building outside of ports e.g., $ pkg install python27 $ hash git 2>/dev/null || pkg install mercurial $ hg clone https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-unified firefox || git clone https://github.com/mozilla/gecko-dev firefox $ cd firefox $ hg up beta || git co origin/beta # optional, if you don't want Nightly $ ./mach bootstrap # select Firefox for Desktop $ nice ./mach build $ ./mach run From owner-freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org Sun Mar 5 21:00:05 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 875CCCFA421 for ; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 789CB1330 for ; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 74ED3CFA420; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 72B65CFA41F for ; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4260A132F for ; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v25L01Fo038950 for ; Sun, 5 Mar 2017 21:00:05 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Message-Id: <201703052100.v25L01Fo038950@kenobi.freebsd.org> From: bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org To: gecko@FreeBSD.org Subject: Problem reports for gecko@FreeBSD.org that need special attention Date: Sun, 05 Mar 2017 21:00:05 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: Gecko Rendering Engine issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 05 Mar 2017 21:00:05 -0000 To view an individual PR, use: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=(Bug Id). First, I removed the addon before upgrading thunderbird. Not sure if this was a requirement. After upgrading thunderbird and mucking with it for some time I did the following. Shut down thunderbird. Backed up ~/.thunderbird//prefs.js file. Opened the file in editor. Found lines with extensions.lastAppVersion and extensions.lastPlatformVersion, and "downgraded" thunderbird version in them (changed 45.7.1 to 45.7.0). Removed line with extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} in it. Restarted thunderbird. And lightning was back. Not sure if the above steps are sufficient. Perhaps something in what I described as 'mucking' was required too. -- Andriy Gapon From owner-freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org Wed Mar 8 06:17:30 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 52F8AD020B4 for ; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3C0131EDD for ; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 38013D020B3; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 37AC2D020B2 for ; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 273A41EDC for ; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v286HTqk099268 for ; Wed, 8 Mar 2017 06:17:30 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: gecko@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 216041] www/firefox-esr: volume level changes on its own with SNDIO option enabled Date: Wed, 08 Mar 2017 06:17:29 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: kpect@protonmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: gecko@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback?
