Frankly, I think the ports is one of the best, and easiest, things about
BSD. I find them quite easy to install: dependencies work very well. I don't
think this is necessarily the case with rpms, right?

Yes, ports do get broken, but usually if you post a message as to what's
going on, it's fixed rather quickly.

My only complaint is that I've got a modem, so downloading is slow. But
that's not a BSD problem.
