I have a sun X2100 (tyson board) with a sep service proc (nve nic) and I get the same thing. Full IPMI support until FreeBSD boot process takes over. Any work been made on this bug ... still present in 6.1 RELEASE i386. Real PITA, especially when trying to trouble boot issues and you can't use IPMI's remote serial over lan feature as you lose it once FBSD takes over.
