When I suspend mode 3 the screen goes blank then turns solid white. After the screen turns white the numlock, capslock and scrolllock on the keyboard and the HD activity light go solid. At this point the machine stops responding to any input and remains in this state forever (couple of hours anyway). If I then press the power button the screen and lights return to normal and the previous console text on the screen is visible. This lasts for about 2 seconds, then the screen goes blank and the system reboots. Anyone seen this before? Is there a module I am missing or that is conflicting? I have searched through Google for similar problems with the Inspiron, but came up with only references to it actually working. I must be doing something wrong then. Here is dmesg output to give you an idea of what I have loaded. Is there any other log or dump that would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help. dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2004 The FreeBSD Project.
