By considering some aspects of the processing that will happen, some small tweaks that don't compromise the integrity of the DTD can be made that go a long way toward making conversion with existing tools easier. Unfortunately, linuxdoc is basically LaTeX with angle brackets instead of backslashes, and no ability to define macros.
