            Bug ID: 214566
Summary: mysql57 fater version 5.7.12 cannot keep up with
                    replication
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: pete@twisted.org.uk

Versions of mysql after 5.7.12 are horribly slow to replicate, getting hours
behind. During thistle they are not using CPU or filesystem. Reverting to m=
ysql
5.7.12 and the catch up in seconds.

I filed this as a bug with mysql, but it may be a FreeBSD issue. I am runni=
ng
on top of ZFS, under STABLE/10 - I have not tried this with 11 yet.

5.7.13 and 5.7.15 are both affected.

the mysql bug is here: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=3D83000

I can reproduce this early, and am happy to setup a login for someone to
investigate the issue.
