This is on an Inspiron 510m with -CURRENT as of today: Under X11 with i915.ko loaded, S3 kind of works, but the laptop is immediately woken up again. Without X11 on the console, the same happens but the LCD stays off (and cannot be enabled by twiddling with hw.acpi.video.foo). It seems that with hw.acpi.reset_video=1 the machine just reboots. Is there any workaround for the immediate wake up problem? I am happy to provide any information that might be of help.
