My buddy does not know english very well so I am posting his problem with D=
ell Latitude Laptop:

The problem is that he has crappy sound with his Maestro3 Sound Card.

error messages:
pcm0:play:1:dsp0.1: play interrupt timeout channel dead

no IRQ conflicts at this time, but the glitchy sound still is the problem.

setting hint.pcm.0.hwvol_config=3D"0" in /boot/loader.conf also did not hel=
ped.

hardware:

kernel was GENERIC 6.2[later with remover pcimcia and firewire] also 7.0/5.=
4 GENERIC tried without success.
