Essentially, I agree. I should have expressed my thought more explicitly.
However, a couple of years may be too conservative an approach.

As you may have noticed, I have been tracking several FreeBSD mailing lists --
BTW, an excellent source of advice and information for that matter. In my
previous post, I specifically recommended freebsd-hardware as a source of
wisdom^W advice :-)



Unfortunately, a number of people don't seem to be doing that. Well, in _this_
day and age:

1) people do not read (it's the culture of "images");
2) people do not *want* to read;
3) people become *upset* if they are told to read -- let alone RTFM.
:-))

The very recent email about CVS labelling (STABLE/BETA/RC; CURRENT vs. DEV[EL])
& cvsupfiles is instructive.
