When the machine boots and loads the user ppp by the following: 'ppp -auto -alias demand' it dials and connects. If I don't load it thur the rc.conf.local and just load it after it boots then login as root and load ppp then it is ok for the montment. When I ping something on the outside world it dials and connects like it should but then it sometimes will not drop the line after the 5 minutes I have it set for. Or it does drop the line but then dials and connects again. It is like it is running with the -ddial option. There is no tpc/ip traffic on the net as I unhooked my LAN from it to make sure. I have tried this with and without the local DNS running with no change. Also sometimes when I try to ping something it times out (ttl) but it is now set with a higher number but no change.
