Basically cd'ing to /dev/ and running ./MAKEDEV all fixed me up. It's very odd and I think I should submit a possible bug report, does this sound OK to everyone?=20 (BTW, in my rather urgent haste I forgot to specify that I was running 3.0-R) Thanks. I think :).
