Hi, I need advice on how to handle a port that takes distfiles either from the net or (eg for an paid version) from a CD-ROM or other path. An existing example is the (Linux) StarOffice 5.2 port ports/editors/staroffice52 It allows to fetch a basic version from the net, or the extended version from the StarOffice 5.2 CD-ROM. Here the choice between both versions is done by giving -D WITH_CDROM as argument to make and setting CD_MOUNTPT to the distribution media path (eg /cdrom). Is this a blessed way to handle the situation? If yes, I would like to apply it to the Quake III Arena port I submitted not long ago to finally get it in the ports collection. :) Regards, Marc To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
