I saw secure shell, ssh, mentioned by people assisting the person who wanted help because they got cracked. What, exactly, is ssh, and how and where does one use it? My current computer is not being used by anyone besides myself, I have a dynamic IP address, I have tcp wrappers, and I don't publicise my exsistence so I don't have much of a need for security. However, my next compuer will (hopefully) be used as a server/bbs, and I *will* want tight security on that machine. I have "UNIX System Security", and I'll read it, but I would like to know what ssh is/does. Thanx. -Spike Gronim sporkl@dti.net "Tradition is the chastity belt of the mind"
