>Description:
with portrevision 4 of mpg123 a patch for deffered detection of supported
audio rates/formats was added which breaks the ability of mpg123 to write
the output as a WAV-file, for every mp3 mpg123 now reports "Format not
supported." and an illegal header
>How-To-Repeat:
# mpg123 -w foo.wav bar.mp3
High Performance MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 Audio Player for Layer 1, 2 and 3.
Version 0.59r (1999/Jun/15). Written and copyrights by Michael Hipp.
Uses code from various people. See 'README' for more!
THIS SOFTWARE COMES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Playing MPEG stream from bar.mp3 ...
MPEG 1.0 layer III, 192 kbit/s, 44100 Hz stereo
Format not supported.Illegal Audio-MPEG-Header 0x4c595249 at offset 0x5613eb.

[3:55] Decoding of bar.mp3 finished.
>Fix:
using revision 1.5 instead of 1.6 of patch-ab (but using patch-audio.c !)
fixes the problem but i'm not aware if this is a proper fix nor if this
reverts (a part of) the functionality of the "audio rates/formats deffered
detection"-patch
