The dmesg.boot log and the /var/log/messages only contains the boot
messages the are displayed on the console screen in highlighted white.
There all a lot more boot messages that follow them, but do not get logged.

How do I capture all the boot messages?

Is there some option to tell dmesg to capture every thing from
the beginning to the login prompt?
