Hello I have a x86 system with a USB keyboard and a USB wheel mouse. Installation of freebsd with this system is impossible. Because when I start the installation from a bootable CD-ROM it does not detect the keyboard as USB but as a PS/2 keyboard. This does not bring up the kernel configuration screen for some reason and straightaway reaches the /stand/sysinstall menu. Is there a way that I can get FreeBSD running on this system other than plugging in a keyboard and in the configuration removing the atkbd0?? In which case again I have a problem as the boot menu cannot be activated. The keyboard input is taken only after a substantial bootup has been completed. 2) Another question I have is regarding X configuration with a USB mouse. The installation does ask whether there is a USB mouse, but in the setup screens does not take any mouse event!! It would be nice if the above problems are solved in the default distribution and freebsd installs as easily as with the other keyboards and mice.
