There's a pre-built binary available at openoffice.org. It was there before 4.8 was released so it should work with 4.7. [I've only used it on 4.8RC and on 4.8 though, so your mileage may vary.] It works well enough on a PC with plenty of RAM. Slows to a crawl on an older PC with only 64 MB ram though, it's a memory hog.
