On the other hand, it seems that current practise follows the style
that Chern used more often than not.

    $ pwd
    /d/local/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1
    $ find . -name \*sgml | xargs grep -i 'man page' | wc -l
	  71
    $ find . -name \*sgml | xargs grep -i 'manpage' | wc -l
	  30
