The idea of soft-dependencies would be useful for the ports
system, too, actually...

The one thing about using a package is that it does potentially
integrate with sysinstall better.  IMHO, it's probably not
needed.

I presume it will eventually be an "easy" (hehe :) setup for a
new user, but for now, the package only really needs to work for
the judges.
