Actually, after some burglars visted us and made off with my wife's laptop, I got her a Mac, figuring it would add to my resume. Like you, I was a little disappointed in the speed, (This is an iBook--G3 733 ? I think--processor and 383 megs of RAM.) However, Apple, with the usual marketing brilliance has, as soon as they started to get a little of the market back, suddenly begun charging $100 per year for mac.com. I've only played with the computer a bit--she's rather possessive of it, but the terminal feature is certainly nice, and unlike Macs of old, it doesn't seem to crash. :) (Up till OS X, if I'm not mistaken, it was still co-operative multi-tasking). It does seem as if it can become a serious contender. Scott Robbins To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
