Sorry for the late response. I tried but the results were exactly the same. I 
am now running Mandrake 10.0RC1/AMD64 because I had some work to get done. 
But I am still looking forward to load FreeBSD on to my machine. Would it 
help you if I send dmesg, lspic, etc ?
