I have the same problem on my Inspiron 7500 since I upgraded to 4.7. If I suspend-to-RAM, the pccard doesn't come back after resume until I unplug it and plug it back in. If I suspend-to-disk, everything works fine. I just upgraded to 4.7-stable last night (= 4.8 prerelease) and the problem still exists, although I built the kernel with the same configuration file I used in 4.7 so I haven't played with any new configuration options that may be available. > The card is a D-Link using the ed0 driver. The good news is that with 4.8-prerelease, the USB drive that I borrowed works without having to mess with the driver code as I did in 4.7 (to define hints for the specific device model). It doesn't fix the pccard problem, but at least its something. > Another strange thing is that i cannot hot reboot the laptop. I'm not sure what you mean by hot reboot, but I've encountered no problems with rebooting, e.g., with shutdown -r now, or with powering down using shutdown -p now. That part of my system seems to be working fine. > The BIOS stays blocked in the initial screen and does not present > the F1 prompt. I have to power down. That is not something I've seen before. In any case, I have no suggestions for improvement, at least not with the pccard problem. - Bob To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
