As sample:
Intel Server Platform SSH4 (Shasta) with 4 x P4Xeon 1.4GHz,
BIOS support for HyperThreading is ON.

FreeBSD (4.7 and 5.0 RC1) seen only 4CPU
Linux RedHat 7.2 seen only 4CPU
Linux Redhat 8.0 seen 8CPU.
