I looked, but BIOS doesn't have any settings for the stuff on the motherboard (which this is), only for the pci cards. Compaq (who makes my computer) says there isn't any way to disable it, other than through the Windows control panel. To disable the firewire you probably have something in cmos that lets you do it under something like peripheral management or something similar sounding.
