I have a bit of a trace in my last mail to Hellmuth. Unfortunately, I cannot
trace the line from a 3rd system...

If you have ideas of software tests, I can probably arrange it ( I have root
permission at work too). Playing with hardware in the computer room is far
more difficult :-(
