FreeBSD greg-kennedy.com 8.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE #0: Mon Jul 19 02:55:53 UTC 2010 root@almeida.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
I checked out port sysutils/devcpu-data today and used /usr/local/etc/rc.d/microcode_update start to update the microcode on my Pentium 4 CPU. The tool returned a success message, but within 10 minutes my system ended up with a kernel panic. I set microcode_update_enable="YES" in rc.conf to update on boot and each session the system would crash and reboot in 9 or 10 minutes.

Here is the full output from dmesg of a run, showing my CPU and also ending with the kernel panic.
