Mine also shows up as PCI.  As long as it works, I don't mind:

%pciconf -l | grep nvidia
nvidia0@pci1:0:0:       class=0x030000 card=0x000210b0 chip=0x017110de
rev=0xa3 hdr=0x00

I'd be curious to know whether Pieter's last suggestion helps.
