The account in question has no password. The system runs -current. Rlogin to the account works with no problems, and so does simple rsh (which execs rlogin). But attempts to run a command with rsh fail. Seems inconsistent... This is a secure network, protected by a firewall. Rsh is needed (desired) for pvm. Setting up ssh keys is too much trouble -- some of the machines in the cluster are SPARC/Solaris, some run Windows.
