hi sirs, happy new year to all. one of my machine has two nics. i set it as a bridge for an old bnc segment and a new rj-45 segment and it works fine. i need to express my sincere thanks to this lists and many of good guys and freebsd handbook who help me solving my problem. well, i have just one more questions regards to hostname. i know that for a bridge, one do not need to assign an ip number for cluster of nics. anyway, in case that it is not a bridge, how each of nic has got `hostname' assigned to then. thanks in advance. and once again apologize me for my english. with best regards, psr __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
